How To Choose the Right Carpet

With all the different carpet styles, types and colors available today it is very difficult for consumers to choose the right carpet that will meet their needs, goals and budget. So where do you start? The first thing you must decide is:

What is your Level of Foot-Traffic in your home?

To answer this question you must take many factors into consideration including the number of people in the household and the number of active pets, mainly dogs and cats and so on. But how do you know what level of quality and durability you need? I can help you determine by answering a few simple questions.

I have created a unique carpet foot-traffic test to help homeowners determine the level of foot traffic they have in their home. It is based on a set of variables that I believe to be critical aspects in determining the level or amount of carpet wear and tear in your unique situation. The carpet you select should be based upon your unique level of foot traffic you have in your home.

If you select a carpet that is not able to tolerate your level of foot traffic then your new carpet will not last as long as you might anticipate. This is the absolute worst thing that can happen. You end up with a carpet that wears out faster than you expect; and your new carpet warranty is null and void because you selected a carpet that was unable to tolerate your level of foot traffic

How Long do you want your Carpet to Last?

Once you know how long you want your carpet to last you can determine if you have enough money in your budget to afford the level of quality and durability that you require.
